Lower South Coast SPCA team steps up for 10km fundraising walk

Every contribution, big or small, will help the SPCA move closer to its goal.

Staff members from the Lower South Coast SPCA will lace up their walking shoes this Saturday (21st), when they take part in the Davis Walk – To the Power of 10 Team Challenge to raise funds for animals in their care.

The team, made up of SPCA staff who work with the animals every day, will walk 10km as part of the initiative, which aims to harness the power of community support through small contributions that add up to a meaningful impact.

The idea behind the ‘Power of 10’ challenge is simple – if 100 people sponsor the team with R100 each, it would raise R10 000 for the organisation’s ongoing animal welfare work.

However, supporters are reminded that every contribution, big or small, will help the SPCA move closer to its goal.

Funds raised through the challenge will go directly towards essential services provided by the SPCA, including food for animals in their care, veterinary treatment, rescue operations and shelter services, as well as ongoing animal welfare work in the community.
