Discover art displays across South Coast

Art lovers will be spoilt for choice with several art exhibitions on the go across the South Coast.

Here are a list of exhibitions you won’t want to miss:
• The popular monthly outdoor Art-in-the-Park event takes place this Saturday morning (4th) in the open air under the trees of the quaint little park in Marine Drive, between the iVungu River Bridge and the central Uvongo robots (next to the Spar). Not only will visitors have the opportunity to meet and talk to the artists themselves, but the 60-plus artists cannot wait to share their diverse art with visitors. The event starts at 09:00 (weather permitting) until 14:00. Contact Johann on 072 6037517.

• The Easter Art Exhibition of local art club Art by the Sea in the Southcoast Mall Food Court (opposite Dischem). The exhibition started last Friday with a bang, with quite a remarkable number of artworks changing hands over the weekend.

• Sands Gallery in Glenmore Beach presents The Third Dimension: Sculptors of KZN and Beyond. The exhibition will run until May 17 and is open from Wednesday to Sunday:10:00 to 16:00.

• The Margate Art Museum annual Open Art Exhibition is now open for the next few months. Entrance is free. Contact Siya-Madala Sotsu on 039 3128392 or 078 2126058
