Join wildlife rehabilitation centre to protect wildlife
Monthly contributions from just R50 help rescue, treat and release injured and orphaned animals back into the wild.
Wildlife across KZN is in constant need of care – and now you can play a direct role in giving injured and orphaned animals a second chance at life.
The Centre for Rehabilitation of Wildlife (Crow) is calling on the public to step forward and become guardians, by supporting its vital work in rescuing and rehabilitating wildlife. Each year, Crow responds to between 3 000 and 4 000 emergencies, providing lifesaving care to animals affected by increasing human-wildlife conflict.
From birds and monkeys to genets, duiker and mongoose, the demand for help remains urgent.
“At CROW, no animal is turned away,” says operations director Clint Halkett-Siddall. “Every life matters, and every rescue counts. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and ultimately release wildlife back into their natural habitats.”
However, this critical work relies heavily on public support.
Crow is encouraging individuals to join its Guardian Programme – a community of passionate supporters committed to protecting South Africa’s wildlife.
Monthly contributions from as little as R50 help cover essential costs such as food and medical treatment for animals in recovery. As an added incentive, new guardians will be entered into a lucky draw to win a getaway and other prizes.
