Come together as a community to support a National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) fundraiser this weekend.
The NSRI Station 39 Rocky Bay, in partnership with Miskin Place, will be hosting a golf day at Selborne Golf Estate this Sunday (7th). All proceeds will help support the NSRI’s lifesaving volunteer rescue operations at Rocky Bay.
The event tees off at 07:00 in a Better Ball format and is open to golfers, businesses and community members who want to spend a morning on the course while contributing to a cause that matters.
Sponsorship opportunities, prize donations and team entries are all available.
Station 39 serves the Rocky Bay area and the broader surrounding coastline.

“This golf day is not only a fundraising initiative, but also an opportunity for the community to come together in support of the work done by the NSRI volunteers who dedicate their time to saving lives,” said Kevin Fourie, NSRI Rocky Bay station commander.
The NSRI, a non-profit, receives very little government funding, with more than 1 500 volunteers operating across 106 service locations in eight of South Africa’s nine provinces.
Events such as this golf day are examples of how NSRI stations keep their equipment maintained, their training current and their doors open.
NSRI depends almost entirely on public donations, sponsorships and community partnerships to keep its rescue services, emergency response capabilities and water safety education programmes running.
Businesses interested in sponsorship packages or prize donations, and golfers wanting to enter a team are to contact Walter or Natasha at Miskin Place on 063 7151107.
