Support families in need at winter market in Port Edward

All donations will go to the Help Foundation, which distributes food to local families experiencing food insecurity.

Residents can support families in need while enjoying a morning of shopping and homemade treats at the Newport Winter Market at Port Edward Methodist Church on July 18.

Instead of paying an entry fee, visitors are encouraged to bring a can of food or other non-perishable items, including pasta, noodles or soup.

All donations will go to the Help Foundation, which distributes food to local families experiencing food insecurity.

The market will feature a variety of craft stalls, homemade food and the third annual baking competition, where local bakers will compete for prizes.

Youth pastor Chantal Blucher said the event is an opportunity to support local vendors while making a difference in the community.

Proceeds from the market will help fund the church’s outreach programmes, including its free drinking water initiative, which provides clean water from four large tanks to anyone who needs it.

For more information, contact Chantal Blucher on 062-363-5455.
