Market support helps local families in Port Edward
Proceeds and food donations benefited the Help Foundation.
The Port Edward Methodist Church thanked the community for its support at the Newport Market and third annual baking competition.
The event raised much-needed food donations for The Help Foundation, based in Port Edward, which supports families in the community.

Youth Pastor Chantal Blucher thanked everyone who entered the competition, attended the market, donated and supported the event.
“Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude. Every person who entered, attended, supported, donated and encouraged us made this event truly special,” she said.

“Because of your kindness and generosity, the Help Foundation has received much-needed food donations that will help feed families in our community. The excitement and gratitude from those we serve remind us that when a community comes together, lives are changed.”

Maggie Mangnall won first place in the baking competition, followed by Virginia Pretorius in second place and Chloe Steyn in third.

The church also thanked its sponsors for their generous support in making the event possible.
