Creston’s budding writers receive certificates

The top stories from Grades 1-3 was submitted to the facilitators of the Curro Writing Competition.

Creston College‘s Junior Primary learners took part in the annual Curro Writing Competition.

Three learners from each class were awarded writing certificates. The Grade 1s wrote about their teacher, the Grade 2s wrote about what makes them happy and the Grade 3s wrote about their hero. The top story in each grade was submitted to the facilitators of the Curro Writing Competition.

Grade Rs packed a lot into their music lesson, learning a song in French, singing in a round and even writing out some music notes that they got to play with their whiteboard marker ‘drumsticks’. They finished off their lesson with some fun body percussion. Liam Kern shows off his whiteboard.

The Grade 4s have been learning about types of fruit in Geography. They took a fun trip to the high school and made fruit salads in the Consumer Studies lab. Each learner had to peel, slice and cut the fruit that they brought.

The High School learners are preparing for the upcoming inter-house plays. Each house will present a one-act play, with an interval of approximately 20 minutes. The plays are being directed by the Grade 11 drama learners.
