Merlewood Primary celebrated spring day recently by designing and creating beautiful spring hats.
Learners also planted trees and seeds and were introduced to some useful gardening tips in honour of Arbor week.
It was an educational, yet fun-filled day for all.
Grade 6 learners attended an insightful day trip to the Wild Coast which entailed a guided walk through an ancient petrified forest along the beach.
Learners discovered many types of Mzamba fossils that included marine shells, bivalve shells, coiled ammonites, echinoids (or sea urchins), a fossilized sea turtle and enormous clam shells.
