PS Secondary learners discuss careers

Learners had the opportunity to network and find out more about the career paths they could pursue.

Port Shepstone Secondary recently hosted a career symposium for Grade 9 learners, together with their parents and guardians.

The aim was to prepare them to take the next step in their high school careers by selecting their Grade 10 subject packages which will direct them to their career of choice.

The career symposium offered the young learners an invaluable opportunity to network and learn about the various career paths they may pursue.

A unique approach was taken where a range of government agencies, corporate companies and business owners shared information about possible career opportunities which are more relatable to the learners as opposed to the more popular career choices.

Six dynamic speakers, some of whom are proud Port Shepstone alumni, offered insight into the world of careers by sharing their personal career journeys.

The emerging theme was that determination, perseverance and hard work pays off.

Port Shepstone Secondary thanks their affluent speakers for their beneficial contribution, time and effort at the seminar and to learners and parents for their attendance.
