Top honours for Creston’s learners

The awards were held recently.

Creston College recently held its Grade 12 honours and awards ceremony.

The following special awards were also presented:
The Design Beret for the person who exemplifies the true spirit of the designer – Clark Allan; Senior Prize for Arts, Culture and Languages – Thandiwe Mahlangu; Creative Writing Award – Lizalise Godlimpi; VT Mills Trophy for Senior Design Student – Shared award: Jessica Baillie and Lwanele Godlwana; Thompson’s Senior Prize for Performing Arts – Ciara Manilal; The Cookery Award – Ciara Manilal; The Lateral Thinking Award – Dylan Green; Eaglecrest Interact Award – Yusuf Razak; Outreach Award – Megan Adams; Grade 12 Girl Fellowship Award – Megan Adams; Grade 12 Boy Fellowship Award – Reholele Matubatuba; School Spirit Award – Reholele Matubatuba; Executive Head Prize for Endeavour – Cleo Nongogo; Ambassador for Creston College – Reholele Matubatuba and Best All-Rounder – Reholele Matubatuba.

Sports awards:
Girls Hockey Player of the Year – Maxine Musariri; Rugby Player of the Year – Matthew Henderson; Netball Player of the Year – Thandiwe Mahlangu and Sportswoman of the Year – Maxine Musariri.

A valedictory ceremony was also held for the matrics. The Grade 12s signed themselves out the College Phase book, collected their tie/scarf/or both off the table and then proceeded to ring the bell. All the Grade 12s rang the bell twice, followed by the matric head boy and head girl, who rang the bell three times to signify the end of an era.
