Creston’s academic aces earn certificates

The Senior Primary Phase learners achievement excellent results in various subjects at Conquesta.

Creston College is excited to share the Conquesta academic results from its Senior Primary Phase. Learners received their certificates on their individual achievements at assembly on Monday last week.

Overall, Creston College achieved the following results: Natural Science and Technology: Gold (75%), Natural Science: Silver (63%), English 1: Diamond (83%), Afrikaans 2: Silver (64%), Social Sciences: Platinum (88%), Mathematics 2: Gold (70%). This confirms the high academic standards and quality of teaching at Creston College.
Cricket

The first team cricketers played against St Patrick’s last Saturday. Creston batted first and scored 266, with Jyhdesh Naidoo scoring a mammoth 153 runs. St Patrick’s was bowled out for 70 runs with the pick of the bowlers being Rohil Singh with a 6-wicket haul.

Creston’s U13A cricket players went into bat first and scored 148 for 9 for the full 30 overs. Izotsha went into bat and in the first over Creston had their first wicket off Daniel Davies’ bowling into the safe hands of Reagen Botes. Izotsha came in at 80 for 5, and bowling from Creston saw them all out for 101 in 20 overs.

In the U11A game Creston was all out for 48 after 14.4 overs. Izotsha batted and in the third over Lutho Menziwa clean bowled the batsman, leaving Izotsha on about 12. Khulubuse Mlondo took a hat-trick and went on to get his 5-wicket haul with Oliver Smith claiming the other 4 wickets restricting Izotsha to 22 runs.
