Anelisa scoops Dux at RA Engar’s prize-giving

The school congratulates all awardees and bids a fond farewell to the Grade 7s.

RA Engar Primary hosted its annual awards day last Wednesday. It was a day of much celebration and pride as learners who excelled academically and on the sporting front were rewarded for their hard work and dedication.

Guest speaker and granddaughter of the late Rasool Amodjee Engar, after whom the school was named, delivered an inspiring message and expressed her pride at seeing her family’s legacy progress and become an institution of academic excellence.

Awardees were recognised from grade R to Grade 7.

Sikelela Mdiya scooped the prestigious Good Fellowship award and the volleyball award.

Ndabankulu took top position for Afrikaans and EMS, Ntandoyenkosi Okwayo for English and Asisiphosethu Cele for isiZulu.
Aphelele Makhanya was the top Social Sciences learner and the Creative Arts award was presented to Nosipho Zulu.
Anelisa Maphumalo clinched the rest taking the Maths, Natural Science, Technology and Life Orientation awards. Anelisa also received the coveted Dux award.
