Creston achieves 100% matric pass rate

Thirty six matric learners qualified for tertiary exemptions.

The matric class of 2022 at Creston College wrote the IEB exams and achieved a 100% pass rate.
All 36 matric learners qualified for tertiary exemptions.

They attained 48 subject A-aggregates and 61 subject B-aggregates. Top achievers are Kashin Sookan (A-aggregate and five distinctions), Maxine Musariri (A-aggregate and three distinctions) and Ciara Manilal (A-aggregate and four distinctions).
Other top achievers are Reholele Matubatuba (four distinctions), Dylan Green (three distinctions), Lizalise Godlimpi (three distinction), Thandiwe Mahlangu (three distinctions), as well as, Reagan Hooke who qualified in the top 15 of candidates for Life Orientation in South Africa.

The grade Rs experienced their first music lesson for the year. The Grade 3 learners have been busy with Maths and learnt how to break up and build numbers as well as coming up with adjectives to describe themselves during creative writing.

The Grade 4s answered questions all about themselves using numbers.

The pool has been most welcome with the heat being experienced and learners have enjoyed their PE lessons.

The Grade 2 and 3 girls enjoyed their first hockey practice and the Grade 3 boys enjoyed their first cricket practice.

The school’s robotics display was well received at the Southcoast Mall recently.
Creston is the only school locally with this kind of equipment and Robotics is currently offered from Grade R to Grade 9.
