Support dance academy’s fundraiser
Some of the fundraising events are a a golf day, a ladies' high tea, a social get-together with a spit-braai, and an auction.
In Motion Dance Academy‘s coach and dancers were recently selected to participate at the World Disco Championships in the Czech Republic in June.
The coach, Talita Helberg was selected to coach the group of dancers, however, they need to raise funds for their travel expenses. Five dancers were selected after a stringent qualification process as there were so many dancers competing in the qualifiers from around the country.
Helberg said the dancers are committed to what they do and most of them dance a minimum of six hours per week, and often have to sacrifice their weekends to put in extra time.
The team will be hosting fundraisers and needs the community’s support to raise some of the funds. Helberg has registered on Back-a-Buddy, an online platform where donations can be made towards a certain project, and individuals willing to support donate an amount, as every bit will make a huge difference.
“We will be hosting a golf day, a ladies’ high tea, a social get-together with a spit-braai, and an auction on Friday, March 31 at the Port Shepstone Country Club. We invite the community to join us, spend time with friends, and support a wonderful cause,” said Helberg.
