Dance marathon a highlight at RA Engar
Learners were spoilt for choice, entertaining themselves with activities like face-splashing, fishing, a jumping castle, disco, skittles, and so much more.
The school grounds at RA Engar Primary were transformed into a carnival extravaganza at a fun day held last Friday.
Every stall was beautifully decorated with colourful balloons, plants and tinsel, enticing learners to participate and join in the festivities.
Learners were spoilt for choice, entertaining themselves with activities like face-splashing, fishing, a jumping castle, disco, skittles, and so much more.
While the children were busy at play, parents could make their way to an enchanting tea garden. Here they could relax, enjoy a cup of tea or aromatic coffee and tantalise their taste buds with delicious and decadent cakes and savouries – at a small fee of course.
The highlight of the function was the dance marathon. This year, for the first time the dance marathon was led by Grade 7 learners. Parents, educators and learners were in awe of the talent demonstrated.
The music selection was catchy and no learner could resist dancing to the beat for 20 minutes, non-stop. Local celebrities, Kiara Hanna and Akshay, also showcased their talents to the delight of all.
The SGB, principal and staff express their sincere thanks to sponsors, parents and well-wishers, who contributed to the success of this fundraising drive.
