Creston gives back with collection drive

Learners have had a lot of educational growth.

Outstanding learners received certificates of high distinction for excelling in the 2023 International Benchmark English and Maths Test at Creston College.

Notable achievers across various grades include Surili Maharaj, Muhammed Khan, Mackenzie Gawler, Luke Bateman, Kailash Hiralal, Keranya Moodley, Alwande Ntombela, Ruben Viljoen, Khushi Sewpersadh, Athule Mbili, Tristan Reed, Atmika Lachman, Soham Maharaj and Jaydn Kenneth.

Alulo Flatela, Emir Sahli, Lwandile Bhengu, Preason Naidoo and Lunje Mntonga received recognition for achieving the Bronze Standard Award in The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Awards. The award is signed by President Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa.

In sports, the boys’ cricket teams showcased skill and sportsmanship at the Southcity Mini Cricket Festival, while the netball teams celebrated victories against Suid-Natal.

Additionally, Eaglecrest Interact’s collection drive for second-hand clothes was a resounding success, with a remarkable 246kg collected. Special recognition goes to Grade 12E1 for their outstanding contribution. The week also saw enriching activities such as Easter-themed fun for Group 5 learners, Afrikaans culinary experiences for Grade 3s, and al fresco learning for Grade 4s.

These events fostered both educational growth and community engagement, reflecting the diverse and vibrant spirit of Creston College.
