PSSP awards high-flyers

The highlight of the ceremony was the prestigious Dux Award received by Tasmiyah Khamissa, who was rewarded for her unstinting commitment towards her work.

Port Shepstone Senior Primary hosted a well-attended awards day last Wednesday, highlighting the tremendous efforts of hardworking learners.

The guest of honour was former principal of Jai Hind Primary, Roshini Audan, who inspired, guided, enlightened and motivated the learners with her words of wisdom.

Top achievers in the grades were Sayuri Paramunsee (Grade 4), Hudaa Khan (Grade 5), and Samara Ramkubare and Husna Motala, who tied for first place in Grade 6.

In Grade 7, the Perseverance and Diligence Award was received by high-flyer Sonali Paramunsee. The penultimate, the Dux Approximae Award, was presented to Tanisha Perumal, who showed much growth and dedication to her studies.

Kaylee Govender and Mvuselelo Luswazi received the Good Fellowship awards for promoting goodwill among learners and conducting themselves with dignity and decorum.

Thandolwethu Dlamini and Kayan Walters tied for the Sports Girls Award, and Azhar Desai received the Sports Boy Award for their outstanding co-curricular and sporting achievements.

The Best All Rounder awards were received by Sonali Paramunsee and Wandile Msizazwe for outstanding performance in both academics and sports.

The school is proud of all awardees and congratulates them on their efforts. The principal and staff wish learners and parents a safe holiday and a blessed festive season ahead.
