Sports triumphs at Sheppie High

The school is committed to nurturing young talent and fostering a culture of excellence.

Port Shepstone High has experienced a remarkable year marked by outstanding achievements in various sports.

The school’s commitment to nurturing young talent has paid off.

One of the most significant achievements was the selection of Bandile Thabede (Grade 8) to represent South Africa in touch rugby with the SA TouchBoks 2025. Bandile’s skill, dedication and commitment have paid off.

Another notable accomplishment was the selection of Kiyaan Sunder (Grade 11) to participate in the Salga Games in chess, representing Port Shepstone District as the top U20 player.

The school’s chess team, under the guidance of coach Unathi Tshona, has also made significant strides. Her appointment as a team manager for the Ugu chess team is well-deserved.

Additionally, Michel Kasango (Grade 11) has earned a place on the KZN boys U17 volleyball team.

These achievements are a testament to the hard work of the athletes, coaches and support staff.
