Merlewood Secondary has achieved an outstanding 98% overall matric pass rate, securing second place in the circuit with an impressive 185 distinctions across all subjects.
The school delivered exceptional results, including a 100% pass in Accounting, English Home Language, Geography (with six distinctions), IsiZulu First Additional Language (with a staggering 118 distinctions), Life Orientation (with 42 distinctions) and Mathematics (with three distinctions).
This success is a testament to the dedication of the principal, Thoko Nqoko, the senior management team, teachers and support staff whose hard work has fostered a culture of excellence.
