On air excitement at PE Primary

The school is grateful for the 'BIG Favour' initiative.

Port Edward Primary had the honour of hosting a live broadcast from the East Coast Radio Breakfast team last Friday.

The learners spent an exciting morning interacting with the show’s presenters and crew, singing songs and being interviewed.

A highlight was the official opening of the school’s brand new cricket pitch, followed by a fun match between the presenters, parents and staff versus the Grade 6 and 7 learners.

The cricket pitch has been donated as part of East Coast Radio’s ‘The BIG Favour’ initiative, and both learners and staff were thrilled to try it out.

The school is grateful to East Coast Radio, as well as local businesses, Hibiscus Brokers, Key Computers, Ramsgate Stationers and South Coast Refrigeration, for ‘pitching in’ and making this dream a reality.

Thanks to the school’s sports co-ordinator Jeandre Michau for driving this initiative.
