WHAT makes the ribs at RJ’s at Southcoast Mall so famous? It’s the restaurant’s secret homemade rib sauce, soaked into the meaty rack that keeps patrons coming back for more.
The restaurant’s menu is extensive and diners are spoilt for choice, from its offering of more than a dozen starters to its selection of juicy beef hamburgers (your choice of single 150g patty or double at 300g of mouth-watering, meaty goodness).
It features a lengthy list of seafood, massive bunny chows and chicken dishes but many come for its famous speciality steaks. These include the jalapeño stuffed steak covered in a peri-peri sauce, the Popeye rump served with creamed spinach and feta cheese and the silver steak, which is stuffed with whole roasted garlic and basted with RJ’s flavoured herb butter.
One of the restaurant’s biggest attractions is its massive playzone upstairs, which also features a dining area where parents can keep an eye on the little ones while they enjoy their meal. RJ’s hosts many children’s parties, which start from R47,95 per child (includes a party bucket, drink, balloons and a selected ‘kidz’ meal).
