Bronwyn Tanner – Tuning In: Santorini style comes to Pennington

It was a celebration of friendship, awareness and generosity.

A little piece of Greece found its way to the South Coast when the Pennington Ski-boat Club welcomed guests to its Santorini-themed High Tea last week.

In all, 85 women celebrated friendship, community spirit and local generosity at the event.

Inspired by the iconic blue and white beauty of the Greek islands, the High Tea brought a touch of Mediterranean elegance to the town.

The programme featured two inspiring women whose messages added a meaningful dimension to the occasion.

Danielle Turner, a radiologist, delivered an important talk on breast cancer awareness, highlighting the difference early detection can make and encouraging women to take a proactive approach to their health.

Tracy-Ann Klokie, entrepreneur and founder of Hearts in Hands Food Bank, shared her perspective as the driving force behind a charitable organisation dedicated to helping those in need, reflecting the importance of compassion and giving back to the community.

Jacobina Bakery provided the catering, while talented live entertainer The Gypsey Girl brought her musical charm to the afternoon.

The event was made possible through the generous support of businesses and sponsors who helped bring the Santorini vision to life.

Special thanks were also extended to the club’s MC, committee members, staff and volunteers, as well as the gentlemen who assisted with welcoming guests, seating arrangements and the golf-cart shuttle service.
