THEN the seventh angel sounded: and there were loud noises in heaven, saying, the kingdoms of this world have become the Kingdoms of our Lord of His Christ and He shall reign forever and ever. Revelation 11:15
They say that knowledge is power. Adam was created perfect in every way, with God being his source. He lacked nothing but as it were lived in a place of super-abundance and as long as he walked with God.
This divine masterpiece enjoyed an inexhaustible supply that flowed from God. But subsequent to his fall he was cut off from God and lost everything and this once perfect being began to degenerate.
The knowledge that was at one time contained within him, he now had to acquire outside of him, through sensory perception; and as Dr Myles Munroe puts it, ‘that was the birth of education’.
The recent global economic recession challenged the most brilliant minds of this day and left many nations bracing themselves for a financial meltdown; and at our doorstep lies our dysfunctional educational system.
It is certainly no secret that the quality of our education is under scrutiny and does not compare to the high level of excellence that many of the other nations of the world enjoy. We need help. Wisdom is the principal thing. Proverbs 4:7.
There are many systems that govern the affairs of man on the earth – economics, education, media and entertainment, safety and health, science and technology. God gave man dominion over all the things of the earth and it was His desire that man will rule the earth with His wisdom.
But he walked a different way – in his own wisdom – the results of which we see today in our governmental structures and systems. It is safe to deduce that our own wisdom has failed us and has brought man to the end of himself.
Wisdom is a defence as money is a defence; but the excellence of wisdom is that knowledge gives life to those who have it. Ecclesiastes 7:12. While the future may seem dismal and uncertain for many, I believe that we are perfectly poised for the wisdom of God to come back to its rightful place.
God will not allow His Kingdom to be established by the wisdom and cunning devices of man. It is His wisdom in us that will transform our environment and establish a government that is righteous and just in His eyes. For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea. Habakkuk 2:14
