‘The answer is crystal clear’

A nudist beach is in direct conflict with all the traditions, cultures and religions of South Africa.

DEAR Editor,-

I keep on asking myself this question when the answer regarding the proposed nudist beach seems crystal clear to me!

Firstly, as the Hibiscus Coast mayor has stated, the by-laws of this country do not permit public nudity, and secondly, the idea of a nudist beach is in direct conflict with all the traditions, cultures and religions of South Africa.

The mayor and her officials have to go through the correct processes, but what a time waste for them when they could be attending to other more pressing and important issues.

If the nudists are able to find a suitably-isolated location, where there is no other human traffic, then this may be worth consideration. Let them find such a location and then re-present their case. Simple.
