‘Why change the name?’

The hibiscus is an indigenous flower admired by all and must be retained in the new name.

DEAR Editor,-

Why change the name from Hibiscus Coast Municipality? Not only is the hibiscus an indigenous flower admired by all, it will also prevent unnecessary squandering on reprinting letterheads, stationery, etc.

The existing infrastructure is already in place and with money being a major factor, six chairs can be added to the present meeting room instead of building a new building.

It seems to me that the eagerness in wanting to spend millions is a clear case of dysfunctional council and poor financial management.

Is there no one to help these people to do the right thing?
