DEAR Editor,-
I would like to lodge a complaint about Eskom. I applied for an upgrade of the electricity at my farm from single phase to three-phase, which was duly carried out and completed.
The problem started when I requested a contractor to connect the three-phase cable leading from the borehole to another cable, only to realise that the second cable was a single-phase cable that had been upgraded to a phase three cable.
On December 10, I personally went to the Shelly Beach office to complain and they promised to attend to the matter. Since then, I have repeatedly called them to assist me, to no avail. I was given a reference number and the inconvenience has cost me a lot of money. The contractor I have employed is charging while I delay the schedule.
It is so disappointing that a large concern like Eskom still has the tendency to be prejudiced and undermines the very customers that support them.
