‘Kerry saves the day and a life’

Without Dr Attfield’s knowledge and surgical skills, Yolennah would have lost her leg or her life.

DEAR Editor,-

Our grateful thanks to Kerry Peyper for assisting Yolennah Stotter recently when she had a bicycle accident. MedEvac must be commended for their quick and expert assistance in getting Yolennah from Murchison District Hospital to the Hibiscus Private Hospital, where Dr Hilton Horsley and Dr André Attfield attended her.

Prof Timothy Hardcastle from Albert Luthuli Hospital stated that if it had not been for Dr Attfield’s knowledge and surgical skills, Yolennah would have lost her leg or her life.

Thank you to the medical and administrative staff at Hibiscus Private Hospital for their assistance, the caring mothers at Creston College and Port Shepstone Primary School for creating a fund to assist with medical costs and a facebook page called ‘Supporting Yolennah’, which has created a platform for her rehabilitation going forward.

Wanita Stotter, you have a formidable force of mothers behind you!
