DEAR Editor,-
It is not often you hear about outstanding service or get to experience it first hand. My mom, Marilyn Francis, recently flew to OR Tambo International Airport and was impressed with CemAir’s new aircraft and service. She then flew on to London, returning the same way.
However, her London return flight was delayed and she arrived with little time to spare to board her connecting CemAir flight. While she was at customs, she received a call from a very pleasant woman called Yolandi Hein from CemAir at OR Tambo International, asking her where she was because boarding was about to close. Mom explained what had happened and they said they would wait for her, but she needed to try and get to the boarding gate within 15 minutes. When mom explained that she didn’t have her luggage, Yolandi said not to worry, they would make sure that her luggage was collected and sent on to her.
True to her word, when mom landed in Margate, the CemAir team knew all about the luggage problem and Danie van der Merwe was in contact with mom the following day. Once again, true to their word, her luggage arrived on the evening flight the next day.
Well done CemAir! And thank you for the outstanding service you provided, without even knowing that her husband was in hospital and therefore she couldn’t afford to miss the connecting flight.
And the reason she was making use of CemAir’s service in the first place was because her dad had turned 100 years old. Thank you.
