People continue to dump at a spot about 200 metres before you get the Longbeach entry gate. The Umdoni Municipality is doing nothing about it and the ‘dumpers’ are not deterred by the sign.
The dumping is being done by people who travel on the highway in the early hours of the morning and they casually dump their rubbish along the way. The only way to prevent this is for the municipality to clear the area and place a large bin there.
Since this is situated on a slipway, parking will not be a problem and then ‘dumpers’ can stop and dispose of their rubbish in this bin. Come on Umdoni Muncipality – do your thing, The road looks terrible.
