In last week’s Herald (November 6), Ugu municipality stated, and I quote: “When the municipality was asked about the problem, it blamed apartheid and the IFP.” We would all love to know how the apartheid government and the IFP managed to orchestrate the salt water crisis 21 years later.
This is exactly how the ANC/Ugu shifts blame instead of accepting responsibility for their own incompetent actions (or lack of action). The irony is their followers believe them, thus making them look good because they now have to sort out the ‘mess’ of the apartheid era. Plus they have a convenient trumped-up excuse for the crisis!
