DEAR Editor,-
With regards to the recent letter complaining about Cllr Tap Kruger and the subsequent response from Ray Walker in last week’s Herald.
I wanted to write a letter similar to Mr Walkers, because I could not understand how someone could write such a letter of complaint. Maybe potholes in the area that Kobus Niemand lives in have not been fixed, and yes, like many other potholes on the South Coast, they really are a nuisance and danger. But Cllr Kruger runs around trying to sort out many issues and is doing a very good job for his ward. He tries to do the best possible.
Since I was busy and did not get around to responding, I was very glad that somebody else wrote a necessary letter of appreciation for the work done by Cllr Kruger. I agree that Mr Niemand’s complaints are absolutely unjustified. Everybody in this country knows it is difficult for a councillor to get all problems solved, even when you try your hardest. The only truth in Mr Niemand’s letter is that there are many councillors who promise a lot and don’t deliver, but not Tap Kruger.
