OPINION: ‘Noor is a good, honest person’

My phone must have fallen out of my side pocket without me realising it.

DEAR Editor,-

I would like to say thank you to a kind man by the name of Noor (sadly, I did not get his last name).

Last Sunday, I was coming back from fishing and stopped at the Protea Park Supermarket to buy something. My phone must have fallen out of my side pocket and without realising this, I continued about my business. Still not aware of the fact that my phone was missing, I went home.

At around 8pm, my wife received a call on her phone and the person requested to speak to me. When I answered, he said that he had found a phone and it was only then that it struck me that I did not have my phone. Noor asked me to describe the phone, which I did. He asked me to meet him at the nearby shop to collect my phone.

I am thankful to God for Noor and his honesty. It is so hard to find honesty these days. May the good Lord grant Noor his heart’s desires. God bless you, brother.
