OPINION: ‘High volume of call-outs delayed response’

The municipality is very grateful to the customer for actions undertaken to ensure prevention of further water loss.

DEAR Editor,-

Ugu Municipality did indeed receive a report about a leak on February 10. Due to the high volume of call-outs of our technicians, this leak could only be repaired the following day. The municipality is very grateful to the customer for actions undertaken to ensure prevention of further water loss.

It is indeed our highly held view as the municipality that water is life and as a caring water services authority we encourage customers to continue reporting water leaks through the recognised reporting channels, the Ugu 24-hour call centre 08000 WATER (92837) or (039) 688 5830/36 or SMS 44751 or on the Ugu official facebook page – Ugu District Municipality.
