OPINION: ‘Service provider fails to follow up’

We are disappointed, especially when contractors complain there is no work on the South Coast!

DEAR Editor,-

This is a warning to all ‘slow coast’ service providers – Start looking after your Gauteng holidaymakers or the money will dry up. We struggled for five days just to get someone to assist with unblocking drains at our holiday home in Trafalgar. They either didn’t have tools or ‘were on their way’, and those who never showed up did not even have the common decency to call back.

Eventually, no thanks to Allan Morkel from ‘Loogistics’ who redid the septic tank, but then vanished into thin air after receiving full payment. He never bothered to come back to remove the rubbish left behind and we had to stomach this unsightly view throughout our entire holiday. Allan never did pitch up, answer phone calls or return any messages.

We ended up having to pay for someone to remove the rubble. We really are disappointed with the poor service delivery, especially when people complain there is no work on the KZN South Coast!

DISAPPOINTED
