OPINION: ‘Put your money where your mouth is’

Is it then not time that action is taken about the licence that was issued under suspicious circumstances?

DEAR Editor,-

The article in the South Coast Herald (March 4) entitled ‘Stern warning issued’ refers. Indeed strong words from Simon Maneli of the KZN Liquor Authority to illegal liquor outlet operators.

Is it then not time that, after waiting for more than a year for the outcome of an investigation by Captain Dean Maharaj of the liquor authorities, action should be taken about a court case that is still pending and the licence that was issued under suspicious circumstances to the ‘Down Town Tavern’ in Extension 3, Margate?

Mr Maneli, put your money where your mouth is.
