From the Word: There is always a plan and a purpose

Sometimes patience is required to see God's plan to come to fruition.

Isaiah 55:10-11 (New International Version)

10 As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,

11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

God has a purpose for your life. It was He that spoke creation into being. It has He who formed Adam out of the dust of the Earth and breathed life into him.

Unfortunately Adam and Eve subsequently deviated from God’s perfect plan for mankind.

Long story short, the rest of mankind would be born into sin.

As a result, repentance is needed. God sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to Earth to preach the word and perform miracles.

But the ultimate objective was that Jesus was to die for our sins, so that we could be reconciled to the Father.

Without His resurrection though, His death is pointless. The Christian message is meaningless if you don’t acknowledge that Christ was resurrected from the dead.

In some places Jesus is referred to as the Word of God.

So we can see that God sent His Word. Those who believe are part of this Word not returning to God empty.

It has achieved God’s purpose – to bring salvation to man.
