January has come to an end. A really tough month for some folk. I hope that February is better.
Just a reminder that the Impithi Beach Kiosk is working towards being plastic free.
The take-away containers are made from sugar cane pulp, fully biodegradable and also recyclable as paper.
They no longer serve any drinks with straws. There are paper straws, available on request, but they cannot be left in a drink for any length of time – they will become soggy.
All patrons are encouraged to help save our environment and our oceans from the destruction caused by the use of plastic.

Also good news – check with the chef – take a plastic bag onto the beach – come back to the kiosk with it full of plastic – there is a free cup of coffee.
Are there any other non-profit organisations who need to get information and/or events out to the locals. Please make use of this column. It is for you.
Pennington Conservancy goes all out to assist in recycling.
Bags can be sourced from Jeannette in the Pennington Conservancy office (next to the Pennington Clinic/Library).
Items separated into glass, tins, paper and plastic can then be delivered to the centre situated at Pennington Tea Gardens.
It would make such a difference if each person made the effort. Contact Jeannette at 039 9752123.
