DEAR Editor:
Christmas is a time for giving and that’s what Joanne’s Angels does throughout the year.
We were privileged to host a Christmas party for Alex Park Old Age Home last Wednesday and handed out shoebox gifts thoughtfully packed by us and our wonderful community.

I believe everyone had a wonderful time and thanks to my team of Angels, there was plenty to eat.
On this note, I really would like to thank all my Angels, their husbands and the community for making this year so very special.
On a very sad note I have to say that Joanne’s Angels has never asked for money to help others.
We do ask for donations to help people with whatever they need and the rest of the time we arrange markets to help with buying of food items, which unfortunately does not just fall out of the sky.
What is a shame is that some churches do support us every now and then, but then we have large churches in the Scottburgh area that want us to feed people in their church.
We unfortunately cannot take on the responsibility of these church people as well and I believe that God tells churches to look after their own flock.
This coming week, all crèches, children and people supported on our feeding scheme will also receive their shoebox gifts.
We would like to wish our community and the Mid South Coast Mail a blessed Christmas and a wonderful New Year, may God bless you all.
Please keep supporting us, even through the festive season, because remember it’s the time for giving.
Let’s bring hope to those less fortunate than us. We are always in need of furniture and electric appliances, clothing, bedding, curtains and toys.
You can contact us at 082 3377330.
Joanne Venter.
