OPINION: ‘Frail care facility puts rumours to rest’

A misconception in the community is that we are not permitted to admit new residents due to government regulations.

DEAR Editor;

Although the past six months have been a terrible burden on the citizens of our country in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, it has been particularly challenging for residential facilities whose primary focus is the care of our vulnerable community members.

Anerley Haven Frail Care, which cares for the elderly and frail in their final years, is one such facility.

Individual households have been negatively affected by the lockdown rules, with job losses and price increases, and frail care facilities are no different.

It has been painful for us and our residents not to have visitors from the outside.

The good news is that further lifting of restrictions will enable us to soon reopen for visits from family and friends.

A misconception in the community is that we are not permitted to admit new residents due to government regulations.

We are pleased to say that we ARE permitted to do so and we look forward to meeting you soon.

We would like to thank all our staff, residents, families, friends and suppliers for their wonderful support and encouragement during these trying and exhausting times.

Please continue to uplift us in your prayers.

God bless you all.

Administrator, Anerley Haven Frail Care
