Put simply, it is an auto immune type of arthritis that affects the spine and it is difficult to diagnose. The Axial SpondyloArthritis Association of South Africa (ASASA) has organised three walks in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban for patients, their support network and anyone else who wants to join in to raise awareness around the disease.
All three events kick off at 10:00 and the Durban event will be at the Durban Botanical Gardens. For further information, contact Lara van Straaten on 079 3519213.
