Happy New Year to one and all. So now it’s time for you to consider making a few changes – health, exercise habits, etc. A new year – a new start! Has there been enough rain? When is enough, enough?
I received this and thought it worth sharing: 2024 perhaps won’t be your best year yet, nor will it be the worst. You see, a year is a mosaic of absolutely everything. Joy, fear, heartache, loss, beauty, pain, love. Failure, learning, friendship, misery, exhilaration. Each day, each moment even, is a tiny shard of glass in this beautiful, confusing creation. 2024, like all the years before, will be another mosaic to add to your wall of art. A wall that shows the life, you are continuously gifted. A wall that shows you are human. A wall of survival. I wish you many broken pieces of glass this year, my readers. Because this is living. And before you march on in to another year of ‘everything’, pause to look back, at the work you have created thus far. It is quite something. You are quite something. Now on we go, my readers. Onwards we very much go.
Tidy Towns Pennington’s last project of the year was off to a good start. Many people might be wondering what is happening at the top of Pennington Drive. Various designs were presented to Umdoni Municipality over the last couple of years and permission was sought to erect beautiful, neat, professional entrance signs to Pennington as well as at smaller intersections, currently there are gum pole signs.
These signs are dilapidated and give Pennington a very untidy appearance. After what felt like 250 meetings, emails and drawings over the past two years, the municipality has come back with their own design. Work has commenced and the community will notice the progress. The municipality is formulating the details for the monthly/annual costs for businesses to advertise on the new sign. This information will be shared in due course.
Tidy Towns Pennington wishes the community and visitors a happy new year together with grateful thanks for ongoing support.
Take note:
