OPINION: Call to pray for peace

"Kindly assist us by appealing to your local religious leaders to make January 11 a day of prayer for peace."

South Africa makes its historic case for peace in Palestine at the International Court of Justice today (January 11).
Most pressing is the urgent call and need for a ceasefire and to end the genocide.

The Port Shepstone Human Rights Centre, in partnership with the Palestine Solidarity Alliance is calling on all faith-based organisations to conduct special prayers for the legal team representing South Africa.

We are calling on all religious leaders to guide their congregations and members to dedicate time towards special prayers for Palestine and for success in South Africa’s case at the International Court.

A successful outcome will end the genocide and bring relief to the desperate people of Palestine.
It will also bring peace to Israelis, many of whom don’t want this senseless war.

Kindly assist us by appealing to your local religious leaders to make January 11 a day of prayer for peace.
