OPINION: Bittersweet goodbye to hospice

Neil McDonald, the former CEO loved every moment at the organisation.

I would like to say thank you to my Khanya Hospice board members and the community who all so kindly reached out to hospice in my 15 years there.

May all the seeds of kindness, happiness, giving and donations give everyone a full harvest of what was put into this community project.

I loved every moment at Khanya Hospice, and that will always be part of me! Nothing that anyone has done has gone unnoticed, big or small.

I know people who gave not out of abundance but of the little they had, but with a joyful heart.

A special thanks to the local newspapers that always supported us through the years.

Khanya Hospice has cared for thousands of people through the years, and it can only continue with the great community support that it has been getting. Please continue your support in whatever way you can.

I will still be here to help and direct if needed.

I would also like to encourage the public to be part of the Christmas wrapping initiative at Scottburgh Mall. It will run from December 17 to 24 from 09:00 to 15:00. If you would like to be part of this project, contact 084 4318287.

God Bless you all and Khanya Hospice.

NEIL MCDONALD
Ex-CEO
