New DA leaders elected in Ugu

The newly elected leadership was confirmed by member of the KwaZulu-Natal provincial legislature, Edwin Baptie.

The Democratic Alliance Ugu Constituency recently elected its new leaders.
The new leadership was elected during the party’s Constituency elective conference held at the Port Shepstone Civic Centre recently.

At the conference, member of the KwaZulu-Natal provincial legislature, Edwin Baptie, was named Constituency head, while councillor Ajith Rajaram was elected as Constituency chairperson.

Also, councillor Leonard Ngcobo was named Constituency deputy chair and Lesley Williams of the DA Women’s Network was elected as Constituency Dawn representative.

The newly elected leadership was confirmed by Baptie, who said they are in the process of forming a DA Youth structure for the Ugu Constituency.
The elective conference which was was well attended by the DA members on the South Coast, deliberated on political matters.

The conference reflected on good administration from the DA led councils and re-affirmed the DA position to fight against corruption.
The party also emphasised its determination to sustain ethical and good governance wherever it governs.
