Malema donates R100 000 in Izingolweni
Malema said black people need to love each other because they are hated around the world.
The current generation is not lost, but rather a generation that wants mentorship.
This was a sentiment shared by Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema when he was commemorating the party’s 10th anniversary at Ntokozweni Village, in Izingolweni recently.
Malema said the youth needs someone who has time for them, who harnesses their energy and gives them direction.
“This year we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the EFF. We are celebrating with the adults who fought for freedom in 1976 when they were young, and the children who are studying here at Ntokozweni nursery school. In these children we have the future President of the country,” said Malema.
Also, the EFF leader praised the director of Ntokozweni, Beauty MaMkhize-Nkonyeni, for carrying out the dream of her husband who founded the home for the elderly, disabled, and children.
“You are doing good by taking care of the elderly because some are only loved by their families when they go to receive a pension. You also take care of our future leaders. You MaMkhize can be a better mayor. We can see that you do not steal the money you get. Some people receive funding from the Lotto and steal the money. Today we are donating R100 000 so that you can continue the good work of taking care of the elderly and our children,” said Malema.
Malema said June 16 is about acknowledging the youth of 1976 who were shot and killed in Soweto for protesting against being taught Afrikaans in schools.
He urged the public to celebrate the youth of 1976, saying that if it was not for them, there would have been police and soldiers outside of Ntokozweni if they heard he would be visiting the area.
“If we have young people who get drunk on alcohol, we don’t have future leaders. Politicians don’t care if they see young people getting drunk because they won’t see them if they steal government money. There is no freedom if a black person suffers. We need to love one another as black people because everywhere you go around the world, black people are hated,” said Malema.
