Pensioner found dead near Stick Farm

The 74-year-old was last seen leaving her home early in the morning on June 12

A pensioner, Victoria Fuzani Jubele of Cebhane Ward 16 in Mthwalume, was found dead in a sugarcane field near Stick Farm recently after she was reported missing.

According to police spokesperson, Captain Adam Francis, police were anxious to find the 74-year-old who was last seen leaving her home early in the morning on June 12 and had not returned.
Francis said Jubele was said to be a can collector.

Founder of the organisation, Women of Mthwalume – Nombuso Sibisi, was saddened by the news of Jubele being found dead said Ward 16 councillor, Bhekani Mngoma launched a search party for the pensioner.

She said this came after the woman had been reported missing but she was not found despite police sending out a Dog Unit team to look for her.
Sibisi told Fever that Jubele was found deceased about a week ago.

“We are now out of words, every week, a woman is found dead in Mthwalume. Now, we do not know what do to or say to stop this plague,” she said.

Meanwhile, Jubele’s family said they are praying the person who is behind their mother’s brutal murder is caught.
Police spokesperson, Captain Adam Francis, said: “Hibberdene police responded to the scene on a farm in Cebhane where the body of an elderly woman was found. A post-mortem examination will establish the cause of death.”
