Harding Task Team nabs man for illegal firearm

The public is commended for reporting suspicious activities and stolen goods to the police.

A 28-year-old man will soon appear in the Harding Magistrate’s Court for possession of an unlicensed firearm and stolen goods.

Police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Robert Netshiunda, said information was received regarding criminal activities at KwaMbotho in Harding recently.

He said the police responded promptly.

“The Port Shepstone Public Order Police Unit and the Harding Task Team arrested the man at a residence, where they also recovered an unlicensed firearm and suspected stolen goods,” said Netshiunda.

The public is commended for reporting suspicious activities to the police. “Purchasing stolen property only creates a market for these goods.”
