Children tuck into hot meals
Hibiscus Food For Life has been warming hearts and tummies since 1990.
A heartwarming and humbling sight was evident at Port Shepstone Primary last week.
Happy, laughing children tucked into hot, scrumptious meals, kindly provided by Rajen Mahabeer of Hibiscus Food For Life (HFFL).
Mahabeer explained that these children are South Africa’s future, and by taking care of them, the future is taken care of.
“HFFL is committed to the alleviation of poverty and hunger, and this is why we provide hot meals to close to 1 000 people in the Marburg, Port Shepstone, Palmview and Hibberdene areas,” he said.
He said that the organisation has been warming hearts and tummies since 1990.
“Not only are we helping thousands of school children with warm meals, but this initiative has also created an opportunity to build friendships and socialise,” he said.
The leadership of Port Shepstone Primary thanked Mahabeer for his kind deed!
