His visit will be part of a Women’s Day celebration organised by Ugu Broadcasting Services (UBS). This will also be a build-up to the upcoming Ugu Maskandi Festival.
The king of squats grabbed the world’s attention on social media through a squat routine scored with maskandi music that showed off his toned thighs and glutes.
The director of UBS, Siyabonga Mkhungo, said this was a way for them to celebrate Women’s Month in style, saying that they encourage people, especially women, to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Mkhungo said the Department of Health always encourages people to exercise in the little time they get to keep themselves fit and healthy.
“Through this event, we will also be thanking the community for their continued support when it comes to the Ugu Maskandi Festival set to take place at the Ugu Sports and Leisure Centre on September 28,” he said.
Mkhungo said they urge people to bring their towels and water bottles on August 9.
He also revealed that the day will feature several activities, such as a game of basketball, soccer and chess at the Oshabeni area.
