Meet the South Coast Warriors Colts who have made KZN Duikers teams this year. Duiker rugby team honours have come the way of a number of South Coast Warriors Colts players. Trials were held in Durban last weekend, with quite a few Warriors attending.
At the end of it all, eight were selected for the KZN Duikers teams in their respective age groups.
In the U13s, there’s Divan Dixon, Tiaan Labuschagne, Tyler Smit and Hlalumi Ntongana.
Tristan Kotze was chosen for the U15s, and Eben Botes, Keagen van den Bergh and Preston Nichols in the U18s.
There was some consolation for those who came close, being chosen for the KZN Duikers Invitation teams in their respective age groups.
They were JP Pretorius (U13), Aiden du Plooy, Lieben Valentine and Ricardo Bernardo (all U14), then Stefan Labuschagne, Zander Swart, and Rick Mqoko in the U15s, and Jay Opperman, Dylan Strydom and Tiaan Retief in the U16s.
League action in Durban resumes this weekend after a short break.
